Today is another travelling day, from Cow Head in Gros Morne Park, towards the eastern coast on the 430 south towards Deer Lake to pick up the Trans Canada HIghway, passing through Grand Falls Windsor and resting at Bishop Falls. We are staying the night at Fallsview RV Park, situated on the Exploits River which a busy little place due to locals driving in to fish and the celebrations happening here. Most of the RV sites here have been occupied since the first hour the grounds were open. Since they do not take reservations, RVs were parked in a single line at the gate for over a week, waiting to get a site for the wholes summer.
We are in the overflow area which is basically a big open field, part of the town’s main park where activities happen, like the Canada Day festivities and some other thing happening after we leave. They are building a stage and probably booting all the RVs from this site for the festival. Good thing we are leaving soon.
Dinner was salmon burgers, cabbage & mushroom stir fry. We have had two big meals in a row, the Viking Feast and then the Lobster dinner, so tonight it is light.
After we went at looked at all the people fishing on the river.
